these things (courtesy of d-barcode) are showing up on real products in japanese grocery stores. i guess they're still scannable? i like it.

yea, dawg, barcodes are scannable as long as you can scan each line all the way across along the entire bar, no matter how 'tall' the lines.
once, while bored at work, I scanned the REFLECTIONS of sku's just to see what came up... IT CAME UP ACCURATE! Explain THAT!
